Miranda is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and serves as the Practice Administrator and Co-Owner of Spineology Chiropractic. With years of experience in both direct patient care and healthcare leadership, including serving as an Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Manager, she brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and compassion to the practice. Together with her husband, Dr. Dustin Kniffin, Miranda helps lead Spineology Chiropractic with a shared vision of creating an exceptional patient experience built on trust, education, and whole-person wellness.
Healthcare isn’t just Miranda’s profession—it’s also been a deeply personal journey. Living with a rare genetic condition has given her a unique perspective on what it means to be a patient. After years of navigating complex medical care, she underwent a life-saving living donor liver transplant in 2025. Experiencing healthcare from both sides—as both a nurse and a patient—has strengthened her belief that compassion, clear communication, and truly listening are just as important as clinical expertise. She understands that healing is about more than treating symptoms—it’s about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported.
Behind the scenes, Miranda oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice, continually looking for ways to improve patient care, streamline systems, and create a welcoming environment where patients feel like family. Whether she’s greeting patients at the front desk, coordinating care, or working behind the scenes to help the practice grow, her goal is simple: to make every patient feel valued from the moment they walk through the door.
Fun Fact: Miranda has a bucket list that’s always growing. She loves traveling, discovering hidden places around Maine, spending time outdoors with her husband, Dustin, and is always planning the next adventure. She believes that laughter, sunshine, and time in nature are some of life’s best medicine.
